Creating Art and Expanding

So as of late I had put the “Be Art, More than my Body Project” on Hold. I have had one heck of a fun and busy summer and moving into the fall and winter months so many changes and so much growth here at the Studio. I am wanting to continue working on my project and so I will once again be seeking models to sit for me.  That being said, I do need to start selling my work as well and so I have been thinking about what kind of work do I want to be doing and how do I want to describe it. Here’s the deal. I am fired up by the idea that I create art, beautiful art full of images of the women who sit before my camera. My desire is to have people come to me because they love my art and trust my vision. This makes this part of my work so very different from classical portraiture, because typically when someone comes to either myself or Andi for portraits they have an idea of how they want those images to look. What I really want is people to come to me because they love my art and trust in my vision and trust that I will create beautiful works of art with them as the subject.   Each session I will take the time to get to know you, and hopefully we can build a level of trust where I will know all the ways in which you see yourself and then you can relax let go and trust how I see you. This is the type of art I want to create. I know it isnt’ for everyone, it takes a lot of self love to allow someone to photograph you in such an intimate way. I hope there are many of you who will take that leap of faith and become art.  If you are interested in Scheduling a Sitting Please contact me at the Studio 740-423-1122 or feel free to email me at devinpagephotography@gmail.com

Parkersberg High School Senior Taylor

As I said in my last blog I have had the joy and privelege of working with Andi Roberts photographing Senior High School Girls for their Senior Portraits. Today I am sharing A couple of Taylor’s images with you. Taylor was so much fun to shoot. We did her session at her Uncle’s Farm out near Elizabeth, WV . What a beautiful place for portraits. The day started off rainy and we were not sure we would be able to take her pictures, and then miraculously the rain ceased and we ended up with perfect shooting conditions. Taylor looked ever so beautiful, this young woman is talented, bright and a true beauty. It was such a joy working with her.
